Jayla. 41. I decided that I needed to lose weight because I had just had my first child at age 41 and had gained 40 pounds. Being an older mom, it was harder for me to lose the weight. I had never been in a gym before until our Salon moved into a new work out facility in our area. I kept watching and was intrigued. I also had never been physically fit or active. It was not my thing at all!

I was introduced to Sheri and my first impression was that I wanted to look like her! We had a consultation where I told her I wanted to lose the "baby" fat but that I DID NOT want to be too thin because I had a mother who has an eating disorder and didn't want to look like her. Sheri told me that she would not allow that to happen. I just had this feeling that I could trust her. She LOOKED like she knew what she was talking about.

Not long after I started working out with Sheri I realized this was not as easy as it looked. But on the other hand it was addicting. Especially when I started seeing results on the scale and with my clothes. Sheri was very supportive in teaching me about myself and my body. What I needed to eat and what I needed to do to achieve my goal.

I started out at 156. My goal was to be 130. Remember, I did not want to be too thin. When I finally reached 130 I realized I had more to go. I talked it over with Sheri who was in complete agreement but was not pushy about it at all. She was very good about telling me what I needed to know when I needed to know it. Although, she knew what was eventually going to happen to me but knew I could not handle knowing it all yet.

My second goal was 120. I have achieved that goal. At this point I am seeing such wonderful results with my body. I have never had a body like I have now. I am also much healthier. At 120 I again decided that I could do more. Sheri and I agreed to go anther 5 pounds (or so). My lowest has been 118. I have since been maintaining around 120. I travel a lot so after the holidays I am back to my rotating and getting back on track.

Sheri has helped me to believe I could achieve anything now. If I can work out and love it; if I can lose close to 40 pounds and keep it off, I CAN DO ANTHING!
