The Genesis Transformation Program is designed to transform your lifestyle in a natural progression that results in a lean, healthy, fit body and an empowered mind.
We assess where you are today - in terms of your metabolism, activity
level, and current nutrition, assess where it is you want to go, and design
a pathway to get you there. While the process itself is similar, the route
for each individual is different. We provide you with an education in the
care and feeding of YOUR BODY.
WE DO NOT PRESCRIBE DIETS. We are not nutritionists. We are Genesis Transformation Specialists. We work primarily with fat loss.
Background
You are an individual. Your body is as different from everyone else’s
as your fingerprint. What makes you healthy, or ill, or vibrant, or slow -
is different from everyone else. This is why generic diets don’t work.
There is no one path for everyone - not in fat loss, not in Life.
Your body is a biologically dynamic unit. It is constantly changing
and adapting. It truly WANTS to be a finely tuned, well oiled, high performance
machine thriving on quality fuel. It will not resist your finest efforts.
The Magic Answer
There is one! And it’s not a secret! You’ve seen it everywhere
- in the unreliable media, from your doctor, in health publications, from
health aficionados everywhere. It goes like this:
EAT REAL FOOD AND MOVE AROUND.
That’s all! Do that and you won’t need us! In reality, of course,
the confusion and questions pop up immediately. What is ‘real food’?
How much do I eat? How often? What about carbs? What about ice cream? Coffee?
How much should I move around? How often? Isn’t there a pill I can take?
Ideally, a person would figure all that out for themselves through
trial and error and hit upon a way of eating that fuels them and a level
of exercise that delivers the desired results, making alterations as they
progress through all the changes life poses, adapting food intake with new/different
physical demands...
Most of us don’t feel we have time for that. So we turn to diets, and
supplements, and the current Next Big Thing. We’ve all been fed so much
misinformation out there that we are overwhelmed and unsure what to believe
or where to turn for reliable help!
The Problem With Diets...
Low calorie dieting slows your metabolism, making it progressively
more difficult to lose weight and keep it off. The failure rate of most diets
is astronomical - yet we keep trying diet after diet, chasing that illusory
magic answer...and the gyms are full of folks who are low calorie dieting
and doing hours of cardio, even further lowering their metabolisms and becoming
increasingly frustrated that they don’t look or feel any differently.
The body’s natural response to a shortage of metabolism-fueling calories
is to conserve fat. This is a basic human survival trait from your very early
ancestors. It’s called the ‘starvation response’ and it
results in hormonal changes and, eventually, muscle loss. Once the ‘starvation
response’ is activated and the body goes into famine mode, it will conserve
fat and begin to break down muscle tissue for fuel. The protein in the muscle
tissue releases nitrogen into the system, which is quickly washed away by
the body releasing water from tissue cells - and all of this results in a
drop in ‘weight’ on the scale. The water weight is quickly regained
as fluids are consumed, but the lost muscle lowers your metabolism and is
difficult to build back without a healthy diet, weight training, and a recovering
metabolism. This process is the reason why people can lose ‘weight’ but
not look much different. Or lose ‘weight’ and look worse! It’s
a syndrome called ‘skinny fat.’
When a person loses pure fat every pound lost is noticeable. Five
lbs of fat is the size of a large loaf of bread. 5 lbs of muscle is about
the size of one large fist. When longtime dieters heal their metabolisms
and lose FAT for the first time, they are always amazed at the difference
in their physique. It’s a completely different world. The eyes are
bright and shiny, the skin is clearer, the person feels and looks better
than they ever have.
What We Do
You will have a personal fitness coach you will be accountable to in
weekly phone appointments. We will take you and your metabolism from where
it is and fuel it up to where it needs to be for optimal functioning. Then
we’ll trick your body into burning stored body fat for fuel. We’ll
use a process called rotation - changing the formula of calories and macro
nutrients as often as we need to, and utilizing weight training and prescribed
cardio sessions. Then we’ll teach you how to maintain your finely tuned,
beautiful body.

This process will not happen in a matter of days or weeks. It will take 6
months to a year. We will work with you to make lifestyle changes. You will
not be prescribed a ‘diet.’ You will be educated in the care
and feeding of your individual body - so that you know how to care for it
the rest of your life.
How Does Coaching Work?
You will speak to your fitness coach once a week in weekly phone appointments,
as well as unlimited e-mail support. Your coach will initially assess your
current eating patterns and take your dietary/exercise history. Then you
will be guided through the process of raising your metabolism with increased
calories, ‘clean’ eating, and adjustment of ratios of protein,
carbohydrates and fats - called Fueling. Once your metabolism is up and
running strong, you will begin the process of burning stored fat for fuel
- called Rotation. You can expect to spend 6 months to a year with your
coach. Your coach will monitor your daily food intake through Genesis, our
food log database - and provide you with any feedback you may need. When
your body reaches the goals you have set (body fat, weight, size...) your
coach will then teach you how to maintain that level.
You will be required to lift weights and eventually do prescribed
cardiovascular sessions. We will also make available to you support for
meal planning and time management advice.

This program is NOT for you if you’re not ready to be accountable.
If there are still quick fix diets you think might work for you in the long
term. If you are incapable of thinking about the long term, this is not
for you. If you have a serious eating disorder, this is not for you. We
do not provide treatment; we are not nutritionists nor therapists.
